The basis for The Ωmega Security series began with a short story about one nameless woman who was strong enough to do whatever it took to survive. But it wasn't that she survived that fascinated me; it was how it altered her life. It's a paralyzing thought that even a singular trauma can alter your chosen path and change your life. 

                                 Everyone's trauma is different. One thing holds true:

                                                  trauma always, always changes us.
